Shift Strategy Optimization for Automatic Transmission of Heavy Trucks Based on Dynamic Programming Algorithm

The shift strategy of automatic transmission plays a vital role in the smoothness and economy heavy-duty mining trucks. In this paper, an engine fuel consumption model, 6 + 2 speed vehicle resistance model are built MATLAB. Combined with development smart technology, traditional two-parameter economic is corrected based on load road slope. dynamic programming optimization algorithm used to extract best economical under known working conditions reduce number shifts. Finally, simulation experiments optimized by typical mine work cycle carried out. results show that output torque maintained relatively stable efficient range using proposed strategy. Compared strategy, has advantages reducing numbers.
